IT@Sam has several computer labs across the SHSU campuses.  Each lab is equipped with Windows 10 workstations, DVD-RW驱动器, 扫描仪, 打印机, USB ports and other peripheral items.  Software installed in the computer labs is the same across all IT@Sam computer labs.

Woodforest Bank Athletic Center Room 150 is the most recent addition to IT Labs. This lab is available to any student with an active Bearkat One card. Swipe your active Bearkat One card to gain access to the lab during the following hours:

Nights: 周一-周四 4:30PM - 8:00AM

IT@Sam offers a virtual computer lab 24 hours a day through the Remote Desktop Connection application available on multiple platforms including Windows, 麦金塔电脑, iOS, 和安卓. General use labs are for students use at the scheduled open times. The general use labs are located in 200年天然气凝析液, chs 130, and TWC 315. Open use labs are generally staffed with lab assistants that can assist with a variety of topics. Limited web cams and 麦金塔电脑 workstations are available in the general use computer labs.

No food is allowed, however, beverages in closed containers are acceptable to bring inside the lab.

We request that noise be kept to a minimum to allow for a quiet study environment.

There are special circumstances that will require lab hours to change, such as interim periods between semesters, 大学的假期, 还有恶劣的天气.

Academic computer labs are available to faculty and staff by reservation when computers are needed for instruction with priority given to academics. Reservations can be requested by faculty or staff by following the Ad-Astra技术教程, a step-by-step guide in submitting a reservation request. 请浏览 预订 sections if you would like more information on how to reserve an academic lab. When there is not a reservation scheduled, these academic labs are also open for students use.
